Costo’s partner Efacec Handling Systems changes name into Consoveyo
Following the acquisition by the international technology Group Körber, Costo’s partner Efacec Handling Solutions will change the company name into Consoveyo. For more than 6 years, Costo has been offering and integrating Consoveyo’s products within their materials handling and storage projects. Costo is the exclusive representative for Consoveyo in the Netherlands.
The name change of this Portuguese provider of automated materials handling technology and storage systems is a step in the integrating process into the Logistics Systems area of Körber, an international technology group with almost 12,000 employees worldwide. Besides in Logistic Systems, the group is also active in the business areas Automation, Logistics Systems, Machine Tools, Pharma Systems, Tissue, Tobacco and Corporate Ventures.
The name change was finalized on the 17th of April 2017. Consoveyo has several offices around the world and employs around 180 professionals.
Rick Li-Fo-Sjoe, Commercial Manager at Costo, explains: “In the daily work, there will be hardly any change for our customers or our partnership. We see Efacec's acquisition primarily as an enhancement of the continuity, due to the solid financial base of the parent company. Their products remain innovative and effective as always, but thanks to a broader R & D platform, we look with excitement forward to the future. Whether it's a Rail Guided Vehicle (RGV) system for internal transportation or a turn-key stacker crane warehouse, our customers can always count on a great service organisation."
According the Portuguese company the name Consoveyo embodies movement, dynamics and vitality. It plays with the words ‘aconselhar’ (for consulting), ‘consenso’ (for consent) and ‘consolidar’ (for strengthening and reinforcing) and mirrors the Portuguese origins. Consoveyo also refers to the English word ‘convey’: for transporting products.
