Consoveyo, partner of Costo in the Netherlands, improves warehouses leading banks Asia
Leading banking institutions in Asia have chosen Consoveyo's automated storage technologies for the effective operational management of their warehouses.
Consoveyo, S.A., part of Körber Logistics Systems, have been working again with two separate partnerships with leading Asian banking institutions in the region. Functioning with an existing partner and a new customer, the projects demonstrate Consoveyo’s versatility in catering to different requirements of warehouse expansion and modification for the financial services industry.
“The success of both projects confirms Consoveyo’s ability to adapt its warehousing solutions for a customer’s specific requirements,” shared Jorge Couto, Chief Sales Officer of Consoveyo “Due to the tight security measures, warehousing specifications for the banking industry is more complex. It’s crucial to have reliable warehousing equipment with capability of integration with advanced security systems”, he added.
Expanding fleet of AGVs
In a follow-on contract with one of Asia’s leading banks, Consoveyo was recently engaged to integrate seven additional units of its Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) into an existing network to support the customer’s expansion plans to transport and store bank notes. These AGVs joined the customer’s current suite of automated warehousing systems from Consoveyo, including an Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) warehouse for the storage of 10,000 containers, four stacker cranes, seven units of AGVs, and 20 warehouse workstations.
Fully automated, the facility has been operating efficiently since the initial project completion in 1997. Right from the beginning, for nearly 20 years, Consoveyo ensures the smooth running of the warehouse.
With the new fleet of AGVs, the customer is expected to achieve greater system performance and guarantee the safety of the note handling.
Revamping Third-Party Warehouse Solutions
In the second project, Consoveyo was tasked to revamp an existing automated warehouse for another established Asian bank. The support scope involved the upgrading of the customer’s material handling system (MHS), upgrading of the current conveyor system and stacker cranes by replacing obsolete electrical components. Additionally, Consoveyo seamlessly integrated the customer’s warehouse control systems with its new MHS Operator Interface.
This project reflects Consoveyo’s flexibility in adapting to previously established operating methods. The modernization was carried out simultaneously with the new customer usual operations.
